Self-Compassion & Body Acceptance Group

This is a support group for those whose affirmed gender is female and will focus on the relationship you have created between you and your body. Disordered eating and negative body image can be linked to multiple physical and psychological disorders and this group will help validate your experiences with your barriers to self-compassion and body acceptance. With the support of others who share similar feelings towards their bodies, you will learn to focus on how your body has helped you move forward rather than held you back. You will learn how to utilize various treatment and coping strategies that will improve your self-worth and body image.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) strategies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) coping skills to help you give love to your body rather than bully it.

This is an 8-week IN-PERSON group beginning Saturday, June 5th, 2021, through

July 31st, 2021, from 9:30 am – 10:30 am **NO GROUP 7/3/21**

We suggest you only join this group if you can attend all 8 sessions as there will be no refunds or pro-rated rates offered for missed sessions.

This is a self-pay private group. Insurance will not be accepted. The cost is $200 due in full to secure your place. Space is limited and registration is required.
